About us

Landsharkz.ca (a division of Edley Imagineering Inc.) has been created by Landsharkz (Helen and Chris Edley). Helen and Chris live in Victoria, British Columbia on Canada’s beautiful and wild west coast where they enjoy hiking, exploring, sailing and spending time with friends and family. Helen and Chris have been geocaching since July 2005 (introduced by their good friends “Ickster, Mimi and Kido”), and it has become an important part of their lives. They have focused their efforts on promoting environmentally friendly caching, sharing their excitement for the sport of geocaching with others and welcoming visiting cachers to the Victoria area.

Chris, a professional educator, has 15 years experience in graphic design operating Edley Imagineering Inc., a company that produces map and interpretive signs for parks throughout BC. “We have a vested interest in protecting the parks in British Columbia. They are a wonderful resource, and we must take care of them for future generations to enjoy,” says Chris.

Helen, a sailing and hiking enthusiast, works alongside Chris and manages the day-to-day business activities. Helen and Chris also want to promote environmentally sound geocaching by offering Park Friendly caching and by helping new cachers learn how to take part in the sport with a conscious sense of responsible geocaching.

As part of the west coast experience, Landsharkz.ca can provide you with urban or rural caching suggestions and provide route suggestions suitable to the time you’ve allowed for caching during your visit. Consider stopping by to visit LSHQ if you are coming to Victoria.

Victoria and the Gulf Islands are a world class destination for geocaching and holidays year round. Helen says “We live in a beautiful part of the world, and I enjoy helping people get the most from their west coast experience. We have visited so many new places because of the sport of geocaching; places we never knew existed… and we thought we knew this area!”
